Minced<\/li>\n<li>3 &#8211; 14.5 oz. Cans of Petite Diced Tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>4 &#8211; 15 oz. Cans of Tomato Sauce (one more than in the photo)<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 Cup &#8211; Water<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 Cup &#8211; Fresh Basil Leaves, Finely Chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211; Fresh Thyme, Finely Chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211; Fresh Oregano, Finely Chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211;\u00a0 Italian Seasoning<\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons &#8211; Salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Teaspoon &#8211; Ground Pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 Cup &#8211; Fresh Parsley Leaves, Finely Chopped<\/li>\n<li>4 Boxes &#8211; Oven Ready Lasagna Noodles (approximately 13.25 oz. each)<\/li>\n<li>4 Ea &#8211; Large Eggs<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese, Freshly Grated is Preferred<\/li>\n<li>2 Pounds &#8211; Mozzarella Cheese,\u00a0 Grated<\/li>\n<li>5 Ounces &#8211; Breadcrumbs<\/li>\n<li>1\/2\u00a0 Cup &#8211;\u00a0 Black Olives, Chopped<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) 1 Pound &#8211; Ricotta Cheese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preparation<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Brown your sausage and beef in a dutch oven or deep skillet with the 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.\u00a0 Drain excess liquid.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in the meat ingredients: onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, basil, thyme, oregano, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.\u00a0 Bring to a boil.\u00a0 Simmer for 1.5 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Slice zucchini into thin strips, slightly thicker than 1\/8&#8243;.\u00a0 Boil in deep skillet or dutch oven on low until they are tender, about 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Mix remaining (non pasta) ingredients: eggs, Parmesan cheese, Mozzarella cheese, breadcrumbs, black olives parsley and (optional) Ricotta cheese.<\/li>\n<li>Now you have four (4) building blocks.\u00a0 Meaty sauce, lasagna noodles, cheesy mixture and zucchini.<\/li>\n<li>Begin your layers with sauce, then noodles, zucchini, and cheesy mix.
