You may use a large Dutch oven or a large crock pot.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/classic-pot-roast-everyones-favorite-sunday-family-dinner\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1230\" title=\"Classic Pot Roast Ingredients\" src=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Classic-Pot-Roast-Ingredients-580x435.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Classic-Pot-Roast-Ingredients-580x435.jpg 580w, http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Classic-Pot-Roast-Ingredients-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Classic-Pot-Roast-Ingredients.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<h2>Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>5 Pounds &#8211; Beef Chuck Roast<\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons &#8211; Extra Virgin Olive Oil<\/li>\n<li>2 Each -Large Onions, Rough Chopped<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 Cup &#8211; East Texas Water (or water from your own kitchen if you&#8217;re not lucky enough to live in East Texas)<\/li>\n<li>1 Each &#8211;\u00a0 Celery Bunch, Rough Chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 Pounds &#8211; Carrots, Peeled and Rough Chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 Cloves &#8211; Garlic, Minced<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 Cup &#8211; Parsley Leaves, Chopped<\/li>\n<li>5 Tablespoons &#8211; All Purpose Flour<\/li>\n<li>2 Each &#8211; 14.5 oz. Cans of Cut Green Beans<\/li>\n<li>2 Teaspoons &#8211;\u00a0 Salt<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 Teaspoon &#8211; Fine Ground Black Pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 Teaspoons &#8211; Lee &amp; Perrin\u2019s Worcestershore Sauce<\/li>\n<li>10 Each &#8211; Medium Russet Potatoes, Rough Chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preparation:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn on some really good music in your kitchen and think of the great feast your family is going to have tonight. Now, go to step 2.<\/li>\n<li>Sear the chuck roast in the olive oil on medium-high heat, until the outer edge is brown.\u00a0 This will take just a few minutes and will add a good texture to the meat.
