See Dad&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/papas-famous-bread-recipe\/\" target=\"_blank\">French<\/a> bread recipe here.<\/p>\n<p>The rolls only require a slight variation in ingredients and preparation.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>2 Cups \u2013 Water (105 degrees \u2013 115 degrees)<\/li>\n<li>2 Teaspoons\u00a0 \u2013 Active Dry Yeast (or 2 packets)<\/li>\n<li>6 Cups \u2013 Better-for-Bread Flour\u00a0 Flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 Cup \u2013 Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1.5 Teaspoons \u2013 Salt<\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons \u2013 Extra Virgin Olive Oil<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon Granulated Garlic (Dry)<\/li>\n<li>1 Cup Cheddar Cheese<\/li>\n<li>3 Oz. &#8211; Black Pitted Olives (1\/2 can)<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211;\u00a0 Italian Seasoning, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/sicilian-blend-italian-seasoning\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dean &amp; Jacobs<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons &#8211;\u00a0 Butter (for topping)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preparation<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Immediately after confirming that the 2 cups of water is within 5  degrees of the required 110 degrees, add the yeast and 1\/2 teaspoon of  sugar.\u00a0 Mix by hand with a fork until most of the yeast is dissolved.<\/li>\n<li>Add 3 cups of the flour, the balance of your sugar, and the yeast\/water mixture in your KitchenAid (or other brand) mixing bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Mix ingredients for 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add the 1.5 teaspoons of salt, the additional 3 cups of flour, the olive oil, the granulated garlic, the cheddar cheese, the black olives and the Italian seasoning.\u00a0 The olives will break-up from the mixing activity.<\/li>\n<li>Mix at speed 1 or 2 for 8 minutes.\u00a0 Monitor mixer to ensure that all  ingredients are being incorporated.\u00a0 Add a touch of flour or water if  need, in small teaspoon sized increments, and only if needed.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from mixer, kneed by hand for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Place doughball in large mixing bowl, coated with olive oil.\u00a0 Rotate dough ball to cover with olive oil.<\/li>\n<li>Place in warm location, approximately 80 degrees, until dough  doubles. This will take between 45 and 75 minutes, depending on  altitude, ingredients, etc.\u00a0 You may also test the dough by inserting 2  fingers into the doughball.\u00a0 If it is too elastic and returns quickly,  allow it to rise a little more.<\/li>\n<li>Punch dough with your fist.<\/li>\n<li>Kneed for 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Split doughball into 4 parts to ease handling.<\/li>\n<li>Roll into 4 thin loafs, approximately 1.5&#8243; in diameter.<\/li>\n<li>Slice dough loafs into shape for each roll.<\/li>\n<li>Place on cookie sheet or bread pan coated with olive oil.<\/li>\n<li>Bake at 350 degrees in a pre-heated oven for 7 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Brush the top with melted butter.<\/li>\n<li>Cook an additional 7 minutes, or until outside is light golden color.<\/li>\n<li>Do not over cook.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Makes approximately 36 rolls.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Olive-Rolls_7330.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
