{"id":1596,"date":"2012-11-01T23:27:03","date_gmt":"2012-11-01T23:27:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/?p=1596"},"modified":"2012-11-16T06:07:52","modified_gmt":"2012-11-16T06:07:52","slug":"stove-top-country-style-pork-roast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/stove-top-country-style-pork-roast\/","title":{"rendered":"Stove Top Country Style Pork Roast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Pork-Roast.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1597\" title=\"Pork Roast\" src=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Pork-Roast-580x435.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Pork-Roast-580x435.jpg 580w, http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Pork-Roast-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/52sundaydinners.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Pork-Roast.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a>Oh, Boy!\u00a0 This is a &#8220;crowd pleaser&#8221; inspired by my brother, Peter.\u00a0 Peter is a great cook and at one time owned an exclusive restaurant in the Mississippi Delta.\u00a0 He and I have made this recipe with pork loin, trimmed pork chops and even county style ribs, bones and all!\u00a0\u00a0 My mouth is watering just typing this recipe.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>5 Pounds &#8211; Pork You may use pork loin, lean pork chops (trimmed) or country style ribs.<\/li>\n<li>3 Tablespoons &#8211;\u00a0 Butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Cup &#8211; Fresh Parsley<\/li>\n<li>1 Each &#8211; Large Onion, rough cut<\/li>\n<li>2 Pounds &#8211; Fresh Carrots, rough cut<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211; Salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Teaspoon &#8211; Pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 Teaspoons &#8211;\u00a0 Lee &amp; Perrin\u2019s Worcestershore Sauce<\/li>\n<li>4 Tablespoons &#8211; All Purpose Flour<\/li>\n<li>1 Can &#8211; Campbell&#8217;s Cream of Celery Soup<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Cup &#8211; Water<\/li>\n<li>3 Pounds &#8211; Potatoes, thoroughly cleaned, rough cut. Do not peel skin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preparation<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Sweat onions in butter in a large dutch oven or crock pot until the onions become clear.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) You may seer the pork if you desire.\u00a0 You can see the texture on some pieces of pork in the lower photo.<\/li>\n<li>Add all remaining ingredients,except potatoes &amp; kids.<\/h3>\n<p>Serve with rice, bread and a salad.<\/p>\n<p>* Left-overs will be just as good the next day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">*********************************<\/p>\n<p>This is my brother&#8217;s version.\u00a0 His looks more delicious than mine.\u00a0 I think he added a little Natchez, Mississippi <em><strong>&#8220;river water&#8221;<\/strong><\/em> to make more gravy &#8230;
