watering as I type this recipe and look at the pictures of this Pulled Pork Barbeque Sandwich.\u00a0 It is made from a large Boston Butt.\u00a0 Other cuts of pork, such as a pork shoulder will work, also.\u00a0 Cooking time\u00a0 and preparation is lengthy, but the process is very simple.<\/p>\n<h2>Brine Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 Cup &#8211; Salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Cup &#8211; Brown Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 Each &#8211; Bay Leaves<\/li>\n<li>1 Each &#8211;\u00a0 Boston Butt (7-9 pounds is ideal)<\/li>\n<li>Cold Water to cover meat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Remaining Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 \/8 Cup &#8211; Brown Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 Each &#8211;\u00a0 Bay Leaf<\/li>\n<li>1 Each &#8211; Medium Onion, cut into four quarters<\/li>\n<li>2 Teaspoons &#8211;\u00a0 Salt<\/li>\n<li>1.5 Teaspoons &#8211; Ground Pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon\u00a0 &#8211; Ground Cumin<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211; Garlic Powder<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211; Onion Powder<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211; Cayenne Pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211; Paprika<\/li>\n<li>1 Teaspoon &#8211; Chili Powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preparation<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Prepare brine solution and place Boston Butt and brine solution in refrigerator for approximately 12 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from brine solution, pat dry and place on clean work surface.<\/li>\n<li>Rub with spice blend and place (fat side up) in an electric crock pot.\u00a0 Cover.\u00a0 Set to high setting until the juices from the pork begin to simmer.<\/li>\n<li>Turn to low.<\/li>\n<li>Cook until the interior temperature as measured in the center is 200 degrees.\u00a0 The time required will vary greatly based on your unit.\u00a0 Take several reading and ensure your internal temperature is rising.\u00a0 You can estimate the completion time.\u00a0 You may choose to alternate between high and low settings.\u00a0 My crock pot required 15 hours of cooking on the low setting.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from crock pot and allow pork to cool for approximately 30 minutes until it is safe to work with.<\/li>\n<li>Remove fat layer and bone, and begin the pulling process using a couple of forks.\u00a0 Quality control &#8220;samples&#8221; are allowed, and are an important step in this process.<\/li>\n<li>Mix with your favorite barbecue sauce and serve on hamburger buns or sections of French Bread.<\/li>\n<li>Top
