Oh Boy! If you want to prepare this Sunday Dinner, order up some John Henry’s herb rub in advance.  Order specifically his Tammy’s Herbal Rub Seasoning.  You may follow this LINK to have it delivered to your door. The current price is only $6.49 for 12 ounces.   John Henry personally performed a demonstration at a local grill dealer in Tyler, Texas several years ago, and we have been using it ever since.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pound – Pork Loin (You may double the seasoning and use an 8 pound whole pork loin)
  • 1/3 Cup – Tammy’s Herbal Rub Seasoning from John Henry

Preparation

  1. Grind Tammy’s Herbal Rub Seasoning to prepare for the rub. I used a standard food chopper.  You may use a coffee grinder.
  2. Rub Tammy’s Herbal Rub Seasoning from John Henry into all surfaces of the pork loin.
  3. Cover a 13″ casserole or cake pan with heavy duty aluminum foil.  Clean-up will be much easier.
  4. Place pork in casserole pan and bake at 250 degrees F, until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.  Use a good meat thermometer.  Cooking time will be will take approximately 3 hours.
  5. Allow pork to rest 20 minutes before cutting and serving.
  6. Serve with fresh tossed salad and a green vegetable.

Bonus: Slice the pork loin very thin, possibly on a rotary slicer. The pork loin will make exceptional sandwiches on your favorite roll or hamburger bun.
